Voor de gemeente Velsen heb ik de rol van projectmanager vervuld ten aanzien van het project verkeersknooppunt Pontplein. De opdracht was om het schetsontwerp verder uit te werken tot een voorlopig ontwerp en een verkenning te doen naar cofinanciering. Daarnaast bleek er ook nog een aantal ruimtelijke vraagstukken te zijn op het gebied van recreatie en overnachten.
IV-Infra had de opdracht om het voorlopig ontwerp uit te werken, waarbij ik namens de gemeente aantrad als aanspreekpunt en verlengstuk van de interne organisatie. Daarnaast zorgde ik voor de afstemming met externe stakeholder (netbeheerders, bewoners, bedrijven, etc.) End 2021 afgerond. In de periode van uitwerking, werd het ontwikkelingsprogramma “Van Pont tot Park” concreet. Het Pontplein maakt daar een belangrijk onderdeel van uit. Uiteindelijk is besloten om ten aanzien van het ontwikkelingsprogramma een verkeerskundige studie uit te voeren.
